BANNER COUNTY
ONE & SIX YEAR PLAN HEARING
Chairperson Darnall opened Banner County Joint Public Hearing Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the courtroom of the Banner County Courthouse.
Notice of the meeting was published in the Western Nebraska Observer. Meeting notices posted in Harrisburg, Nebraska at: Post Office, Banner County School, and the Banner County Courthouse.
In addition to Board Chairperson Darnall, Vice Chairman Anderson, and Member Gifford, those in attendance were: Tina Childers; Tim Grubbs; Don & Dena Cashler; Assessor Kacy Krakow; Treasurer Kathy Natale; Kyle Ann & Tiffany Hopkins; Sheriff Hopkins; Jim Milner; Pat Parsons; Jeremiah Sprefslage; Gary & Emilie Darnall; Paula Brown; Dave Wolf; John Faden; Kathy Malm; County Attorney Mark Kovarik; and Clerk Katie West.
Interim Highway Superintendent, Jim Milner, provided the Board a copy of the One & Six Year Plan. Milner referred to Form 11 from the previous year, This included projects that were completed and/or deleted. Milner provided the Board with a map of Banner County roads. On the map, the one - year projects were documented in red, and the six - year projects were documented in blue. Milner stated that the plan can be changed throughout the year. Tools for the Lawrence Fork project (#235) was purchased earlier this year, however, Milner did not think this project needed completed right away. Hackberry project (#234) would be one of the important projects. Autogate on Road 69 needs completely replaced. Milner stated the State is willing to train new employees and get office current.
Chairperson Darnall closed the One & Six Year Plan hearing at 6:54 p.m.
Motion by Gifford to adopt Resolution 23 - 24. Second by Anderson. Roll call vote: Gifford yes; Darnall yes; Anderson yes. Motion carried.
Hearing no further public comments, Chairperson Darnall closed the Joint Pubic Hearing at 8:17 p.m.
